The good, the bad and the ugly truth.

Hi Everybody,

Im Aaron Doyle and you may know me from such films as “Dude where’s my Ab machine” and “Lock, load and 2 smoking barbells”! But I’m not here to talk about myself, no no no im here to talk about YOU! That’s right, hard to fathom I know, but what I want to discuss is change and your view on fitness.

You see change is inevitable we’ve all been through it at some stage or another, remember when we changed from records to tapes and then to CD’s, or from beta to VHS and then VHS to DVD’s, they were some seriously big changes we all had to make (especially for my grandparents) and if we fell behind the times we lost our cool status. Well I’m not about to let you lose your cool status my friends and that is why i’m changing the way fitness is done!

With the rise of bodybuilding and machines from the 50′s onwards, thanks to Joe Weider and Nautalis, we were led to believe that these easy to use bits and bobs would be all that our bodies needed to become bulletproof. The issue that I see so often is people relying solely on them for the majority of their workout. “Whats the problem with that?” I hear you ask. Not only are most machines stuck on a range of motion that does not mimic your own, or that most of them you will be sitting down and lets face it we do enough of that already, but they also take away our bodies ability to stabilise itself sufficiently enough whilst performing a range of motion and this leads to poor posture, compensations inhibited/overactive muscles joints pulled out of position which lead to injuries.

A prime example of this is the Monday bench press subject who can press his body weight but is not able to perform an ideal push-up, let alone hold a plank. Now these exercises are producing the same range of motion at joints but the client cannot STABILISE themselves against gravity due to not training the movement whilst engaging the stabilisers.

“EARN YOUR RIGHT TO MOVE”,  this is the motto I live by and this is why I changed the Cove around. Not to piss anyone off or ruffle some feathers but to be accountable for everyone that walks into the facility. Ask yourself this Do you really want to pay a gym money just to hire their equipment? or would you rather pay that same facility for the knowledge of how to get to your goals as fast and safe as possible?”
You come to us for a reason – be it to lose weight, get bigger, get sexier or just stay healthy – so let us do all the hard work and read all of the science stuff let me and my team do what we do best, plan and coach you through the best science-backed and proven workouts that are available on the planet today. And yes, sometimes it is a hard pill to swallow and the exercises seem simple but in fact are very hard to produce. I know your cursing me now but you’ll thank me later as it will keep you out of harms way and exercising for longer.
